The Preheating Tower JR-5-12 preheats cement raw meal using the hot exhaust gases leaving the rotary kiln, recovering heat that would otherwise be wasted and preparing the feed for rapid calcination. Raw meal is suspended and contacted with rising hot gas in a series of cyclones, where it is dried and heated before entering the kiln.
