The Cooling Machine 2.2x22 cools hot clinker and similar bulk materials by passing them through a slowly rotating cylinder against a counter-flow of cool air. The clinker tumbles down the inclined drum, and internal lifters spread it into a thin curtain that the air stream cools evenly and efficiently. Rapid, uniform cooling improves clinker grindability and cement quality, while the recovered hot air can be routed back to the kiln as secondary combustion air, saving fuel.
