The Rod Mill MB2136 is a tumbling mill that uses long steel rods instead of balls as the grinding media. As the cylinder rotates, the rods tumble and roll over the feed, applying a more gentle, line-contact action than balls. This produces a coarser but very evenly graded product with a low proportion of over-ground fines, an advantage in ore dressing where sliming harms downstream recovery, and in sand making where a consistent grain size is essential. The robust cylinder, heavy end walls and replaceable liners ensure reliable continuous operation, while the girth-gear drive transmits high torque smoothly under the heavy rod charge.

Rod mills are used for coarse grinding and re-grinding of metallic and non-metallic ores in beneficiation plants, especially ahead of gravity separation and where sliming must be avoided. They are also widely used in building material plants to produce manufactured sand, and in refractory, chemical and metallurgical lines for dry grinding duties.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceThe mill is shipped with the cylinder cradled and the drive parts, liners and rods boxed separately. A full set of installation drawings, an operating manual and a spare liner set are included. Every unit is inspected and run before dispatch, and we provide a twelve-month warranty with a reliable supply of liners and drive components to keep your grinding line efficient.
