The Lime Kiln 3.2x50 is a rotary kiln purpose-built for calcining limestone into quicklime. Limestone is fed at the upper end and travels down the gently sloping, slowly rotating barrel, where it is heated by a burner to between 1250 and 1350 degrees Celsius. At this temperature the carbonate decomposes, driving off carbon dioxide and leaving a highly reactive, evenly burned lime. The barrel is lined with refractory brick and supported on riding rings, and the controlled kiln atmosphere ensures uniform calcination. The result is active lime of consistent quality, produced continuously and efficiently for steel, chemical and building material applications.

Lime kilns are used to produce quicklime for the steel, chemical, alumina and sugar industries and for construction, water treatment and flue-gas desulfurization. They are the core of active lime production lines and are also applied to calcine dolomite and other carbonate materials in metallurgical and building material plants.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceThe kiln ships in sections with the shell ends protected, and the drive, support and burner systems are crated separately. Refractory lining is installed on site with our guidance. A complete set of drawings and an operating manual are supplied, and each kiln is inspected before dispatch. We provide a twelve-month warranty and a reliable supply of riding rings, rollers and girth gear parts.
