Overview The Desolventizer Toaster DTDC is the central meal processing unit in a solvent extraction plant. After oil has been extracted from the flakes, the wet meal still carries between 25 and 30 percent solvent, and this solvent must be recovered in a controlled way while the meal is simultaneously toasted, deodorised and dried to a stable, market ready condition.
